Weiss was excited to welcome Dr. Prashant Adhikari from Nepal. Dr. Adhikari was a guest of Dr. Eldin Karaikovic, our Orthopedic Surgeon, who was teaching Dr. Adhikari how to perform a kyphoplasty on a dummy. A kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat vertebral compression fractures by inflating a balloon to restore bone height, then injecting bone cement in the vertebral body. It was a wonderful experience for both Drs. Adhikari and Karaikovic… and the dummy as well presumably!
