State of the Art Technology for Quality Care
Weiss Memorial Hospital’s Cardiac Catheterization Lab features a newly installed Cath and Hemodynamic System. This state of the art technology enhances our ability to provide the highest quality of cardiac care. The new cath lab system is a GE Innova 530. It is able to perform all cardiac and vascular studies with improved imaging and less radiation delivered to patient and staff.
Cardiac Catheterization Labs provide diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures for cardiovascular disease and/or symptoms. At Weiss Memorial Hospital, our newly renovated lab provides the following procedures to assess your heart’s condition and provide the treatment you need to help your heart:
Cardiac Catheterization
- Diagnostic catheterization to confirm or evaluate the presence of coronary artery disease, valve disease and evaluate heart muscle function.
Interventional Procedures
Performed to open narrowed (stenosis) coronary arteries and improve blood flow to the heart. These include:
- Stenting
- Angioplasty
- Thrombectomy
Other Procedures
For diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders and heart failure, including:
- Pacemaker, Defibrillator Implants and CRT Devices (Cardio Resynchronization Therapy)
- Loop Recorder Implants
Peripheral angiograms and angioplasty/stent placement in the arteries of the legs.
