Kevin Chen, M.D.

Kevin Chen, MD, is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand, wrist and upper extremity surgery of the shoulder and elbow. He earned his medical degree from and completed his residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Chen completed his fellowship training in hand and upper extremity at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
Dr. Chen treats arthritic and chronic conditions, as well as the full range of upper extremity disorders, such as rotator cuff tears (old and new), shoulder and elbow instability, tennis and golfers elbow, and repetitive motion injuries including carpal tunnel syndrome and sports injuries. Dr. Chen believes surgery is a last resort when treating his patients’ orthopedic conditions. He performs minimally invasive arthroscopy to treat many problems and involves therapists and pain management specialists when beneficial for the patient.
Dr. Chen is committed to patient education and building strong relationships with his patients. He presents an objective view of all treatment options and proven outcomes, and helps patients make well-informed decisions about their care. Dr. Chen’s research explores the use of 3D models to improve surgical planning for old fractures that have not healed in the correct position.

Ari Kaz, M.D.

Ari Kaz, M.D., is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in foot and ankle conditions. A Chicago native, Dr. Kaz completed his general surgery internship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, followed by his orthopedic surgery residency at Indiana University Medical Center. He went on to complete a foot and ankle fellowship at the prestigious Idaho Foot and Ankle Fellowship program.
Dr. Kaz is dedicated to complete orthopedic treatment of the foot and ankle, including total ankle replacements, arthritis of the foot and ankle, deformity correction and painful flatfoot correction. He also treats tendon disorders, bunion and hammertoe deformities, ligament injuries, fracture care, and sports medicine with a special interest in arthroscopy and minimally invasive surgery. He is the author of numerous papers published in major orthopedic journals, and he is a frequent speaker at national and international meetings.

Jeannette Kelly, D.O.

Jeannette Kelly, D.O., is a non-surgical, osteopathic sports medicine physician. She cares for patients of all ages, from the pediatric to geriatric population, whether it be sprained ankles, fracture care, or arthritis management. Dr. Kelly takes a holistic approach to medicine, embracing osteopathic philosophies. She routinely practices Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) on her patients, as another treatment option to help manage pain, and to prevent injuries. OMM can also be used to treat chronic headaches, pregnancy-related pain, carpal tunnel symptoms, as well as common colds.
Dr. Kelly is board certified in Family Medicine and in Sports Medicine. Along with treating patients in the clinic, she is a team physician for Windy City Thunderbolts and Schaumburg Boomers, South Suburban College, Robert Morris University, Saint Ignatius College Prep and Saint Rita of Cascia High School. She continues to participate in organized sports and endurance activities, and finds these experiences to be beneficial in serving her patients.
Dr. Kelly is currently accepting patients with musculoskeletal complaints, from sporting or work injuries to aches and pains. Patients are also welcome to see her for OMM treatments, weight loss management, exercise prescriptions and more.

Dr. Ko’s practice philosophy emphasizes patient-centered care. He is dedicated to the successful diagnosis of each patient’s orthopedic concern and develops individualized treatment plans that include both non-surgical and surgical options.
Dr. Ko is a former NCAA Division 1 athlete with a strong interest in the treatment of athletic injuries. His experience includes treating elite athletes while serving as theassistant team physician for the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs, and Rockford IceHogs professional sports teams, and the Northwestern Division 1 collegiate football team.
Dr. Ko’s practice philosophy emphasizes patient-centered care. He is dedicated to the successful diagnosis of each patient’s orthopedic concern and develops individualized treatment plans that include both non-surgical and surgical options.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Dr. Ko completed medical school and his residency training in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of British Columbia. After residency, he completed a clinical fellowship in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy at Northwestern Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University. He is dual board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC).

Craig Westin, M.D.
SURGEON, CHICAGO CENTER FOR ORTHOPEDICS
Craig Westin, M.D., is actively involved in the treatment of professional and Olympic athletes. He is a team doctor with the U.S. Figure Skating Team and has traveled with the U.S. team as far away as China and Russia and is the personal orthopedic surgeon for Olympic Figure Skating Silver Medalist, Sasha Cohen.
After his orthopedic training at Harvard and a sports medicine fellowship in Europe, Dr. Westin moved to Utah to run the ski clinic at the Alta and Snowbird ski resorts. He says, “There is no other orthopedic practice in the world that could have provided more experience with torn ACLs and injured shoulders than Snowbird.” After 17 years at Snowbird and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Dr. Westin moved to Chicago.
Dr. Westin uses many nonoperative treatments to help his patients recover, including physical therapy, injections, braces, orthotics and other rehabilitation techniques, all of which can provide dramatic improvement for many conditions.
If surgery is needed, Dr. Westin uses the latest arthroscopic techniques to repair joints without large incisions or an overnight stay in the hospital. He has special expertise in reconstruction of ACL tears and kneecap problems. He is a Carticel Certified Surgeon for cartilage repair.

Nathan G. Wetters, M.D.

Nathan G. Wetters, M.D, is a fellowship-trained physician specializing in Sports Medicine, with special focus on minimally invasive treatment of the knee and shoulder including cartilage transplant and restoration. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
Nathan obtained both his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois. He went on to complete his Orthopaedic training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago before further specializing in Sports Medicine and Shoulder & Elbow Surgery at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dr. Wetters has served as a Team Physician for both the Carolina Panthers (NFL) and Chicago White Sox (MLB). He has also provided coverage for a number of collegiate teams including UNC-Charlotte, Davidson College, Gardner Webb University. He has special interest in treating injuries of athletes from the youth to professional levels. This includes stem cell injections, ligament reconstruction, cartilage restoration and comprehensive shoulder treatment. Founded in 1991, the center provides multispecialty care to every level of athlete, from children to professionals.Dr. Wolin has served as a team doctor for DePaul University, Loyola University, University of Illinois at Chicago, the Chicago Fire (Major League Soccer), United States Soccer National Men’s and Women’s Teams and the Windy City ThunderBolts (Frontier League in Professional Baseball). He is also the team doctor for Robert Morris University, St. Rita High School, St. Ignatius College Prep and Chicago State University.
A founding member of the Illinois State High School Sports Medicine Advisory Committee, Dr. Wolin also has been Vice President of the Conference USA Medical Committee and a consultant to the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He also has a subspecialty certificate in sports medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
With considerable expertise in workers’ compensation, Dr. Wolin is consulted by workers’ and employers’ attorneys.
